New park for Fagley
Liberal Democrat campaigner Geoff Reid in the new Beaumont Park
Fagley is well on its way to getting its own park for the community behind Fagley Youth & Community Centre - the new Beaumont Park.
This is a result of the Fagley Flip events and all the hard work of Alan and Steve at the the youth centre with the help and support of your local Lib Dem Councillors.
Local Campaigner Geoff Reid said: "Beaumont Park will be both educational and accessible by children and adults of all abilities. There will be space to grow food and opportunities for local people to relax and enjoy the open space and gardens."
The project will also have orchards growing fruit to eat, a sensory garden and a hard surface play area which can be used for football and other sports.
Cllr Ann Wallace says: "It has been a challenge but a pleasure to work with such passionate and committed local people" Everyone is welcome to the public open day in February or to come along and take a look at the plans.
