David Ward has expressed anger about an extension which has been built at 12 High Street, Idle without planning permission.
He first reported the problem to the council in November and the council then visited the property and ordered the owner to put it right by the middle of December.
Now the council is preparing to serve an enforcement notice ordering the owner to demolish the extension.
David Ward said,
"This is in the Idle conservation area so it is particularly sensitive. It is not on for people to get planning permission for something and then build something entirely different which is what happened here.
A lot of council time and money has been spent on getting to the point of enforcement and it will cost the owner a lot of money to demolish it. It's a complete eyesore, like a portacabin on top of the stone building, and the sooner it's gone the better."
