David Ward dominated BBC Radio Leeds big general election debate, broadcast live Wednesday night between 7pm and 8pm.
"I agree with David" was the theme of the evening, in a localised repeat of last Thursday's leaders debate, as opponents fell over themselves to agree with Lib Dem policies. On the back of a wave of strong gains in national polls the debate reinforced the fact that the more the public hears from the Lib Dems, the more they reject the tired politics of both Labour and the Conservatives. Only the Liberal Democrats offer real, fair change.
Taking part alongside David were Philip Davies (Conservative MP for Shipley), Rachel Reeves (Labour Candidate for Leeds West) and Nicky Pattinson (West Yorkshire-based businesswoman).
