David Ward - local champion speaking up for local people
"I will be a constituency-based MP prepared to make waves. It is time someone got angry with Westfield and let them know the damage they are doing to Bradford.
"As your MP I will make sure the Government understands the problems faced by people in Bradford East and gives the support needed.
"We desperately need jobs and I will give all the support I can to local businesses and help to forge closer links between the college, the university and local businesses. I will be an MP who takes a tough line on dealing with crime, especially drug-related offences - a few months in Armley Prison watching TV is not working.
"Finally, the circumstances of thousands of people in Bradford are made better each day by selfless heroes who work in the voluntary and community sector. With 30 years' experience in this sector, I will be its champion in Parliament."
