David Ward has begun working for Bradford in Westminster, following a week long induction course.

The course has covered practical matters, from passes, laptops and e-mail accounts, to parliamentary procedure and acceptable parliamentary language.

David Ward said, "I am a bit old to be a new boy, but I am very excited."

"I want to get stuck into the issues that really matter in Bradford East. There are areas of high deprivation and I want to make a difference in my constituency. I want to look at the employment problems and help create jobs."
