Students from 9 Bradford schools got an opportunity to grill a Bradford MP on a visit to Westminster today.
In an hour-long Q&A session with David Ward MP, questions were taken on topics including carers advice, higher education and the pupil premium.
The Year 11 and 12 pupils were also given an opportunity to watch the House of Commons in action during an emergency debate on police bail legislation.
Commenting after the event, David Ward said:
"It is always a pleasure to welcome young people from Bradford into Parliament and to discuss their views on politics. It is vital that that the younger generation feel engaged in our democracy, and that politicians listen to what they have to say.
"I was really impressed by the intelligence and confidence that was demonstrated today and I have no doubt that all of these young people have a bright future ahead of them. I hope that this visit will inspire them to be ambitious for their future and to never stop asking questions.
"Constituents are always welcome to visit me in Parliament and my office are happy to arrange tours or seats in the public gallery."
