David calls for action on car insurance
Bradford East MP, David Ward, has tabled a Parliamentary motion calling on the Government to act to bring down the cost of car insurance.
Commenting, David Ward said:
"My mail bag and inbox have been inundated with messages from constituents who are angry about this issue. When responsible drivers are being forced off the road by the cost of insuring their cars the Government has to do something.
"The police are telling me that there is a great deal of insurance fraud going on which they know about, but do not have the tools and resources to deal with. On top of that the scandalous practice of selling crash details to personal injury lawyers is pushing up premiums for everyone and must be dealt with.
"I need as much information as possible so I can show what effect this is having on people's lives here in Bradford. I urge Bradfordians to go to my website and to take a few moments to fill in my Car Insurance Survey so I can take the strongest possible case for action to the Government."
