David Ward Launches 100 apprenticeships in 100 Days
Bradford East MP, David Ward, will launch his campaign for 100 Apprenticeships in 100 days at the Inspired Neighbourhoods Business Forum.
Across the country the coalition government has created more than 100,000 apprenticeships and David Ward working alongside Bradford Council is aiming to encourage businesses to provide more in Bradford.
Apprenticeships are a key priority for both David Ward and the Council as they give people a structured path in to employment. They give employers a route to harness new talents and it is hoped that this campaign will help increase the opportunities that apprenticeships offer.
David Ward Said:
"I am pleased to be able to launch this campaign to businesses in Bradford I think that apprenticeships have a great deal to offer our city. Businesses are able to train people with the skills they need to prosper and grow; Apprentices get helped on to the jobs ladder and learn the skills that employers need and Bradford needs to create 1000's of jobs every year to keep up with demand from a growing population".
Jeanette Sunderland Chair of Inspired Neighbourhoods said:
"Our business forum brings together 100's of business from every sector in Bradford. We are delighted to support this initiative, for many business life without apprentice schemes would be unthinkable. I hope that David will encourage others to take up the scheme and offer more people in Bradford opportunities to learn new skills"
