Firms looking to beef up trade with Brazil have been urged to contact David who will be part of a Parliamentary delegation to one of the world's fastest growing economies this weekend.
David Ward, MP for Bradford East, who is a member of the House of Commons business select committee, is joining all-party colleagues for a six-day visit to South America in a bid to find out more about Brazil's booming economy and generate new export opportunities for UK businesses.
Mr Ward said he was keen to hear from Bradford firms which were either wanting to expand existing trade with Brazil or looking to enter the market for the first time.
He said: "This trip follows a similar one to China last year which proved very useful in establishing contacts and gaining market intelligence. We'll be looking at existing government-backed UK Trade & Industry initiatives designed to open up new opportunities in Brazil as well as seeing the operations of leading companies such as BAE and Rolls Royce.
"I'm keen to hear from firms in Bradford which may want to either build on existing links with this increasingly important marketplace or are interested in learning more about the opportunities there so I can help steer them in the right direction.
"There is evidence that many UK businesses are not yet fully aware of or pursuing actively enough the opportunities in Brazil, which is one of the world's key emerging economies. Visits such as this are designed to cement trade links between our nations as well as gather important market information which can help national and local companies."
