David Ward MP is fighting for vital projects across Bradford
David Ward is fighting for an innovative youth centre in Bradford to be built. Culture Fusion was granted a £5 million grant by the then Labour government in March, and Bradford East's MP is pressing for that commitment to be honoured in the forthcoming spending review.
He said: "We need to keep pressing the Government for this. This is an innovative project and I am quite confident that when the Government looks at it, it will be a scheme that needs to be delivered."
All projects which have been promised funding since January 2010 are to be reviewed in an effort to deal with Labour's legacy of debt. David is putting pressure on ministers to understand the importance of the Culture Fusion project and the difference it could make to young people across the district.
The project to convert the former mill in Thornton Road will cost £7.38m. The centre will have 3,000 square metres of space for a rooftop events pod and cafe, climbing wall, faith pod, elevated wildflower meadow and gym.
